trappist12 (200), Kansas City, Missouri, USA Oct 10, 2001 I enjoyed this brew. I found as it warmed up, it exploded with character. There are many sides to this beer. thijs van vlijmen (256), Utrech, Netherlands Aug 10, 2001 dirkbreedveld (222), Netherlands Sep 2, 2003 nice presentation, but for me middle of the raod beer, no expression at all, easy going, nice sipping, but not keeps your palate busy Boutip (1769), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Oct 1, 2003 Very nice head when pourred into glass, almost creamy, did not disapear and left line in the glass; to me this is a very impressive start. Very refreshing taste with a fruity aftertaste (Leifman knows how to add fruity taste to their beer). I'm not sure this a pale ale per say but it is still a good beer. bu11zeye (3656), Frisco, Texas, USA Mar 8, 2008 (Bottle, BB 08/2008) Pours a cloudy burnt orange with a tall off-white head and nice lacing. Aroma of mustiness, horse blanket, citrus, leather, florals, and herbs. Flavor of caramel, brett/fruit sourness, light herbs, and Orval yeast. This one caught me by surprise and was somewhat like a lighter version of Orval.
