Bottle: Poured a dirty brown color ale with a huge off-white foamy head with pretty good retention. Aroma of sugar and tart cherries is quiet interesting. Taste is very refreshing with a well balance sourness covered by some sugar and some oak. Definitely not as great as Rodenbach Grand Cru but very interesting nonetheless and I would love to have access to this as a session ale for those hot summer days.

Clear, blood red with brown streaks and a thin, quickly diminishing tan head. The aroma is fruity, slightly acidic and malty. Cherries, plums, apples, caramel, toasted grains, light oak (is this even finished in barrels?), some residual sweetness and a hint of red meat. The body is moderate, but perhaps a little on the light side. In the mouth, the sweetness starts off the experience, but a bit of light acidity comes out near the end. The sweet fruity flavors are the dominate player here. The acidity is evident but doesn’t do a whole lot and isn’t as sour as I would like. It seems more like a session sour beer and a good one to get people introduced and acclimated to the style. However, in my advanced stages of enjoying sour beers, it wasn’t sour enough. It’s actually tasty and well made, but not something I’d drink all that often. Thanks a lot Martin; it was a treat!

Texture semi mince, faible carbonatation. Bouteille Délirium Café, Décembre 2005.

Draught.- Dark amber colour. Acidic nose, with some fruit and malt nose. Malty taste, with a distinctive sour cooking-apple dryness, but with a slightly sweetish dry finish.

Deep reddish colour with a small off white head. Tart dark fruit aroma with hints of wood. Sweet berries in the flavor with a dusty and light tart finish.
