Pours a very dark chocolate brown with a thin tan head. Aroma is oaky and tart with a nice balance of chocolate maltiness. Nicely balanced, with a solid roasted maltiness complimenting the tart earthy oak sourness. Quite good.

Draft at BT. I really enjoyed this, however it was my last beer of the night, but ill stick with what i got. Brune body, a very light acidic sour brune flavor. Notes of balsamic vinegar, dark fruit, and sugar cane. NO etoh or hop presence. I liked it alot, my glass maybe lasted five minutes.

Tap at Blind Tiger, recommened by the one and only Beastiefan2k. Very authentic for the style, a light white sugariness, and a lot of mild, vegetal tartness. Round with a nice body and very drinkable. A solid example. Reminds me of Goudenband... no surprise there though.

on tap at the Blind Tiger. Almost clear deep amber in color, with a small off white head. Aroma: really opened up as I let it up warm up- tart cherry, molasses/caramel, some stinky cheese, balsamic vinegar. Taste: molasses, light balsamic vinegar, a bit of dark fruits. Medium bodied, with some tart fruits and lingering spices in the finish. This one grew on me as I was sipping on it.

A dark reddish brown ale with a thin off white head. A plesant lactic aroa, sweet caramelly notes, and light cherries. In mouth, a lightly acidic beer with cherry wood, added white sugar and very short mouthfeel. A hohum beer. Weel, not bad for the price. Bottle bought at Drankencentrale de Hopduvel in Gent, 0.61 euro. Tasted Nov. 2006.

Tap at Blind Tiger: Deep amber pour with an off white ring of head. Has a tart-ish nose-some cherry skin character/almond-like presence, berry skins and earthy mild woody notes. Nice slick and fluffy feel. Flavor is tart with a hint of acetic character (though not much) It works well with an underlying fruitiness of green raisins and raspberry skin fruitiness, accompanied by a cherry-like almondy richness. Refreshing and easily sessioned. The light sweetness integrates well with the mild tartness well.

Tap at Blind Tiger. Deep brown beer with almost no head at all. Aroma is lightly fruity. Soft oaky aroma with a kiss of vanilla, light raspberry/cherry character and a touch of soft acetic sourness. The aroma is initially quite grassy and herbal with a dill-like character that reminds me of some of the old Fish Tail barrel-aged stuff. It’s quite dissonant at first but once it starts to warm up it gets quite nice. Soft oaky tannins, light plumminess and a kiss of balsamic character. A light sweetness on the back as well. Good integration of all of the different components and tragically underrated.

Bottle. Pours murky amber with a small film head. Aroma is fruity with sourness and dijon mustard. Light to medium bodied. Bit sour flavour with fruity/cherry notes. Works fine for me.
