A deep red beer with a fantastic light brown head. The aroma is sour yet sweet with notes of raisins, vinegar, prunes, cherries, and wood. The flavor is more sweet than sour with primary notes of raisins, wood, and cherries. The end is slightly dry - but lacking body.

(Bottle 25 cl) Dark brown with a reddish hue, and a nice light-brown head. Tart, fresh nose. Medium body with wooden, vinous notes. Some sourness in the finish. Crisp and very quenching. 200895

25 cL bottle. Pours dark amber with a brown hue. Lacing tan head. Light woody and mild acidic aroma, has notes of berries and yeast. Sourish flavour with a distinct berry sweet note. Mild brett and woody finish with an acidic berry flavour lingering into the finish.

Sampled draught. Mahogany coloured, not much of a head. Slightly acidic vinuous aroma. Ratherlight bodied, soft mouth feel, notes of vinegar and caramell. Perhaps just a touch of iron. Pleasantly refreshing slightly acidic finish.

Draught. Dark brown colour, red hue. Big creamy, light brown head, quite stable. Aroma of acidic berries. Very sweet, acidic flavour. Some berry/raisin/grape notes. Aftertaste has a very tiny hint of sheery/prune. I am not a fan of oud bruin, but I think I would prefer it less sweet than this.

Bottled. Brownish ambery colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is sourness, cherries and wet wood. Flavour is very sour fruity and wooden notes with also some wineous hints. Quite brutal breakfast beer. I was surprised by that an Oud Bruin would be a sour ale, but in a very positive way. Nice.
