Taste starts like an IPA, finishes smooth and crisp. Little after taste.
This isn’t an IPA, but those who like IPA will probably like this beer. turboespresso (78), Port Moody, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 31, 2009 Bottle. Clear golden-amber with small persistent lasting head. Smell is yeasty with citrusy hops. Taste likewise. I was happy with the hop flavor, which was more interesting than most examples of this style. Medium body with some malty sweetness. Well balanced. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 9, 2009 (Bottle) From a 6-pack, $11.50. Pours a lasting white frothy head that settles to the glass side. Body is copper coloured. Nose of bruised fruit, corn and crackers. Really?..... I was expecting as the first beer out of the gate from Lighthouse in... well... memory - this is rather mid-stream. The malt character is borderline that of an amber ale, the hops are mildly piney but hardly pronounced above the malt. Really, I had expected more... as their regular roundup is pretty solid and lasted m during the lean years but they could do so much more.
