May 4, 2008 On tap at Churchill’s in San Marcos, CA--Bright orange-yellow body with a great fluffy white head. Great looking beer! Bavarian, nutty, crisp, banana-clove nose. Great wheat presence. I really liked this beer!

Jun 28, 2008 Draught at Stone. Pours with a cloudy orange body and a white head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is clove, then vanilla then banana. Taste is strongly banana, then a bit of citrus acidity.

Jan 23, 2007 On tap @ Hamilton’s. A pretty solid rendition of the classic thick, sludgy, cloudy hefe. Strong hints of banana and cloves that goes down really smooth. I was pretty faded when I drank this, but it was good enough to leave more than just a vague recollection with me. I’d drink this again.

Feb 28, 2009 Pours a nice cloudy golden color. aroma of banana, bubble gum, and spices. flavor of banana, bubble gum, clove, and a little tobaco. this is a great hefe. it is defintly the best hefe brewed on the west coast.

Flavor and aroma were both solid, probably above average for the style. Elements of banana, yeast, clove and citrus. Good palate; nice and easy drinking)

Jul 14, 2007 Draft at Stone Brewery. Aroma of banana and yeast. The taste was similar with some citrus also; a little more like a white beer than a hefeweizen.

May 16, 2007 On tap at Stone. Slightly hazy yellow color, aroma of tobacco and banana, sweet malty banana flavor and a yeasty belgian character in the finish.
