På kran i bryggeriet 17 Okt 09. Veldig mørk på farge med litt rødskjær. Svakt brunfarget skum.

Tap at brewpub. Dark, dark brown with red highlights. Big beige head. Aroma is a bit odd, at first a lot like cola. A bit nutty and roasted, some coffee, the slightest hint of smoke and burnt sourness. As it warms, I got some weak notes reminding me of christmas spices. Flavour was surprisingly fruity, didn’t get much of that in the aroma. Otherwise the same notes as noted in the aroma. The body is full and creamy, nice round carbonation. Very nice for the abv.

400ml on draught served lightly chilled at Lillehammer Bryggeri. Decent off-white head resting on top of a dark-brown body. Rather rich aroma of roasted, sweet dark malts. The taste follows suit with dark chocolate, roasted coffee and a touch of vanilla. Hints of bitterness kicks in to the end. A nice Norwegian stout to be bottled during 09 (Enjoyed at the brewpub on a Friday eve, 06.02.2009).

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a beautiful dark, reddish brown body with a lovely big beige head. A little bit darker, and it would have been a 5 on appearance. There’s lots of fruityness and mocha, chocolate and coffee in both aroma and flavor, really well packed, especially considering it’s 4.6% ABV. The beer finished fruity and roasted, with the chocolate missing. Full body. A truly lovely beer, and the end of a short first (but not last) visit to Lillehammer Bryggeri. A very warming welcome by the staff, and a really friendly attitude during the stay also added joy to the experience, but of course, that’s a place rating issue, and not being considered when rating their beers. I also hope they are able to speed up the plans for bottling their beers, as this was just delicious. (080216)

Draught at the brewpub. Black stout with some ruby, rocky head. Liquorice aroma. Quite sweet, a hint of ashes. Nuts and grain. Light and easy drinking. Great stuff.

330 ml on tap@the brewpub. Thin, dense and lasting chocolate head. Clear black with ruby highlights. Very nice aroma of cocoa, burnt caramel, smoke and ash. Taste is chocolate, cocoa and semi-dry dark malts. Feels crisp and clean in the mouth. Big-bodied considering the relatively low alcohol strength. Lingering bitterness in the finish. Superb.
