Furseth (1166), Kungälv, Sweden Mar 27, 2008 On tap at the brewery: Clear red/brown colour, with a nice creamy head! Aroma of malts, dry hopy/fruity nose.
Flavor has a creamy mouth feeling, medium body. With a pepperyfinish. This one was the werry nice! yngwie (3602), Kristiansand, Norway Mar 16, 2008 On tap at the Brewpub. A clear, amber pour with an off-white head leaving lacings. Fruity and sweet nose with some toffee, roasted malt, and a nice hop profile. Mostly fruity flavor, but there’s a malty, toffee background to balance it. Medium body. The finish has a lovely fruityness as well, and a nice bitterness. Looking forward to the day this one ends up in the stores. (080216) KnutAlbert (2322), Oslo, Norway Feb 29, 2008 On tap at the brewpub.
Wonderful session ale, lots of flavour drawn out of the ingredients like the best British cask ales.
Sweet and bitter, wonderful hoppiness.
One of the top five Norwegian beers at this strength. Ole_R (1304), Oslo, Norway Feb 18, 2008 330 ml on tap@the brewpub. Clear amber colored with a ruby shine. Medium dense greyish head. Beautiful toffee aroma. Fruity, floral and light spicy notes. Soft, caramellish malt flavors along with a well prononced, but still very gentle hopbitterness. Hints of roast. Well-bodied for a 4.6% beer. Nice all over. larsga (2319), Oslo, Norway Feb 17, 2008 Biggish offwhite lasting creamy head with good cling. Deep amber body. Sweetish fruity caramelly grainy aroma with spicy hoppy notes. Dry-sweet grainy reinsy taste with roasty, tangy caramelly notes. Something smoky in the background, it seems. Also delicate, but a bit harsher than the pilsener. Still very good. (0.33l draft at the brewpub. They said they keep changing the recipe and even style of this beer. This one they referred to as an amber ale.)
