Some malt aroma. Amber coloured slightly sweet on the palate and malty with a crisp and dry finish.

Nov 8, 2009 After the beer was served in the glass there was found a lasting quantity not wall adhesive light brown foam collar which was fine and evenly of structure. The beer also contained not much carbonic acid in the glass.
The beer has a clear dark brown color and a sweet taste. The after tast of the beer is hoppybitter with a caramel malty touch. This beer smells fruity.

Nov 5, 2009 Bottle@Home. Sweet caramel and light fruity aroma. Chestnut colour, beige head, good lace. Sweet, light bitter, light herbal, fruity, caramel, dark malts. Little sticky. Pleasant, not exceptional.

Oct 24, 2009 4-way bottle tasting at Arendsnest. Muddy darker brown body with thin head. Roasty and caramel nose. Sweet taste of malts. Pretty good. With toasty finish.

Clear medium amber color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, caramel, spicy, cough syrup, licorice - anis. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090719]

Deep ruby color, small steady beige head. Strong aroma of anise and some caramel. Flavor has caramel, cough syrup, clove and anise. Short finish.
