Beautiful clear red-brown colour with some bubbles. Yeasty citric smell with hints of wood. Some spices; cumin, cardamom. Lightly bready. Bitter sour flavour with a bready taste. Lightly hoppy. Warm dry basis. Little bit watery - flattish. Refreshing.

Bottle 30cl. Pours a clear lightbrownish colour with a normal size head and good carbonation. Sweet caramallish scent to it with some burnt malts and yeasty accents to it. Taste is rather sweet with caramal there. Also has some good dried fruits there such as plums and raisins.

Bottled, courtesy of my mother. Copper coloured, big off-white head, low carbonation. Caramel malty nose, some fruit (plums?). Initially bittersweet flavour, which later on develops to be more sweet syrupy. Lots of spices. Thick mouthfeel. Unusual brew, but ok.

Medium offwhite shiny head. Amber body. Bready fruity floral aroma with perfumy butterscotch, cinnamon, and cardamom notes. Dry-sweet cardamom and cinnamon taste with bready cocos notes. Dry roasty vanilla aftertaste. A very odd beer, primarily because of the spices. Quite nice, though. (0.5l bottle as a gift from a blog reader.)

Bottled. Aroma of herbal hops, raisin and caramel. Amber color, beige head, good lace. Sweet, bitter, quite hoppy, mint or thyme. Syrupy, sticky, dry finish. Very German but with spices.
