martinboer (1327), Amsterdam, Netherlands Jan 6, 2008 Bottle from Bier Koning. Dark brown. Slight head. Sugary, corn nose. Strange taste. Some honey, some burnt sugar, some water. Wholly unimpressive, perhaps due to the low alcohol content. puzzl (1729), New York, New York, USA Oct 23, 2007 Bottle at In De Wildeman. Mellow, slightly sweet corn aroma. Taste is very interesting, like Malta Goya, not quite as sweet, with good bread notes. Carbonation is in check and perfect. Definitely not an Oud Bruin, but certainly an interesting and very different beer. emotv (191), Izmir, Turkey Aug 27, 2007 Tasted at Amsterdam train station cafe. Dark colour but quite brown, not bodied, easy taste, nothing stays so much at later. not speacial beer. jbrus (4117), Delft, Netherlands Jul 12, 2007 Bottled. Aroma of burnt sugar and artificial sugar. Very dark brown color, beige head, good lace. Very sweet, sugar, molasses, hints of hops, sticky. Too sweet. Although their pilsener is pretty bitter, strange.
