| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 30, 2007 pours a hazy homemade apple juice color with a short lived fizzy white head. smells like a sour jolly rancher with some yeast, lemon and wood thrown in. apple aroma is huge...both natural and artificial. flavor is again, real gala apples mixed with artificial plastic flavoring, light wood, earth and a funky acidity. light bodied and quite refreshing (surprising given the sweetened aroma). finishes with tart fake apples and leaves a lingering dry/sourness. i want to braise some pork bellies in this stuff! | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Dec 25, 2007 12 oz. bottle. Strong apple aroma. A tart green apple aroma. Fresh apple. A golden color with a reluctant white head. A bit thin in body with lightly fizzy carbonation. The flavor is sweetish apple. It moves on to tartness. The finish is quite clean. Nice change of pace. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 25, 2007 Bottle 750ml. Not bad. I enjoyed the hard cider like taste and tartness. Very reminiscent of the Grand Cru i had the same day. But not as good. As lambics go, i prefer the Frambois. JPDIPSO (4932), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 24, 2007 Cloudy dark golden, effervescent liquid. Couple fingers of off-white bubbles. Perfumed baked apple aromas, hint of horse blanket and and a touch of cloves. Quite sweet apple juice start. Touches of wood and airplane glue in the middle. Fairly acidic in the finish which helps clear away some of the sweetness. Too much like candy and fruit juice for my taste. Skeegle (499), Maryland, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 22, 2007 Updated: Dec 23, 2007Sort of like the Smirnoff of beers. Surprising that there isn’t a commercial description because it tastes very commercial. Ok, enough of the knocks. It is extremely appley. Very tart and nicely crisp. The acidic tone of the beers backbone helps with the high fructose corn syrup taste of the thing a lot. Overall, this is something you would get for your girlfriend who doesn’t like beer. Shame it’s so expensive. tronraner (1938), Seymour, Tennessee, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Dec 20, 2007 Bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with white head. The aroma is both apple juice and apple jolly ranchers, with a little bit of a spicy note behind it. The flavor is, well, apples. Again, both apple juice and a weird artificial-seeming apple sweetness. It’s just a little bit acidic, which helps cut the sweetness some, and after a while I do notice an occasional hint of funk. Not very good, but drinkable.
