Nose has a terrific “Granny Smith Apple” sweet and sour aroma with a wet “gunny sack” musty tone, astringent, but likeable nonetheless. Start continues the sweet and sour astringency with the top light in its feel. Finish has a barbarous acidity, followed by the “green apple” sweet and sourness, face-puckering dryness, but it has everything I look for in a good Lambic.

First off, I am not going to analyze this as a "beer" or whether it’s a true lambic. I am going to rate this on how I enjoyed it as an adult beverage. Pours a hazy golden with a dissipating white head. The aroma smells like liquid apple jolly ranger candy. The flavor is pretty much the same, sweet apple hard candy with a touch of sourness. Texture is a tad syrupy, but not offensive. This is truly a dessert drink, and a better alternative to the Smirnoff Ice, Zima, and other shit that wussies like to drink. Heck, my four year old daughter could drink this. If you have a sweet tooth, give it a try. If you want a beer, this hardly qualifies. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 27, 2007 Cloudy pour with nice head and a lemonade type color. Apple aroma is strong and the green sour apple flavor predominates. Little or no malt flavors in there. Nice accent with a dessert, but not a main course beverage. saxo (3617), Højbjerg, Aarhus, Denmark

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 22, 2007 Single bottle from the local grocery store marked down to $2.99, I like it already. Bountiful aroma of tart apple and sour malt, crisp and snappy. An earthy yeastiness showed up near the end. Cloudy, deep, golden yellow with a thin bubbly white head and medium lacing. Smooth tartness with a sweet kick. Medium bodied with a long pleasant finish. Flavor is primarily green sour apple and musty malt. It’s dry, sweet, and tart altogether in a mellow blending of taste. Reminds me of a fermented version of the Apple Jolly Rancher candies. A nice refreshing Lambic, this is much, much better than their Kriek. If the cost were a little less, I would keep more of this around. ElGaucho56 (393), USA
