The aroma picked up sweet green apple in the form of Jolly Ranchers over buried wheat character and a splash of tart funk. The flavor opened with tart green apple that carried through the short, somewhat oxidized finish.. lots of sugary apple across the middle.. funk was minimal and dumbed down. Very sweet overall on the palate, again sporting some oxidation on the back.. definitely a beginner’s lambic.. not bad, though. l1br4r14n (297), Washington, Washington DC, USA

Tastes pretty much exactly like a green apple jolly rancher - which actually works quite well. I enjoyed having a 750ml all to myself. Yummy! GranvilleTim (529), Granville, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 14, 2009 Nice golden por with small white head. A lot of carbonation in the glass. Aroma of apple. Taste of apple, nice carbonation, little malt. O.K. beer. A nice early summer beer to enjoy by the river. FROTHINGSLOSH (2038), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jun 6, 2009 Sampled from a 12 oz green bottle this beer poured a vibrant golden color with a medium sized soapy white head. The aroma was intensely strong sweet and tart apple. The flavor was tart, tangy and sweet green apple peel. The finish was amazingly long tart and sweet apple. Incredible. marcus (1903), Sacramento, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jun 5, 2009 Pours nicely into a traditional gueuze glass with an attractive white head and a sour apple aroma. It tastes like apple sauce with cinnamon and a bit of carbonation. It’s a pleasant taste, but it doesn’t really remind me of beer. GG (1678), NorCal, California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 1/5 | 10/20 | May 29, 2009 Not sure why I’m a sucker for an apple flavored beer (see my review for Florisgaarden Apple). But I am and even though Lindemans makes their "lambics" sweeter than soda pop, it wasn’t entirely awful. Sugary sweet, yes. Awful, no.
So the beer pours out a hazy golden yellow color with a small 1" head. Aroma is...well, apples. No suprise there. Apple juice, apple candy, apple syrup....apples. Flavor is roasted malts and meat marina...no it’s not. It’s apples!! Incredibly, cloyingly, sweet apple syrup with a light sour finish. If it were so damned soda like, and thick...perhaps it might be a bit more enjoyable. If you don’t like apples, turn away. Incredibly one-dimensional. austone (1039), Turku; Pori, Finland
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 28, 2009 Bottled. Murky golden, small firm head. Aroma is sweetish artificial green apples, little vanilla sugar, apple ice-cream, sweet and mellow. Very sweet sugary flavor, more natural apples, kinda cidery. Not too complex, thou there’s faint funk in the finish. Medium bodied, pretty mouthfilling carbonation. Too sweet and artificial.
