| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 27, 2008 12oz bottle - Pours dark reddish-purple with a thin purple head. It has a good dark berry aroma and also smells of that lambic barnyard funk. It tastes sweet and funky with a little tartness and much more lambic characteristic than several of the other Lindeman’s brews, a combination that to me makes it the best of their fruit lambics It’s medium bodied and very flavorful. Excellent beer. PilsnerPeter (2617), Flushing, New York, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 18, 2008 Bottle: Pours a nice hazy ruby color with a dense pink head. Coming from Lindemans, and considering it’s one of their Fruit-Lambics, the aroma surprisingly has some Lambic qualities. Musty wild yeast qualities, a touch of barnyard, with a sweet and sour berry presence. It’s nice that the base Lambic peaks through the fruit. Nice rounded feel with a sweet and tart flavor. The sweetness is present with a smooth black berry character, yet it’s balanced by an underlying leathery earthy note and old wood. There’s more fruit flavors later on but they’re tart and cleansing. Not a top example, nor complex, but it’s very tasty and drinkable. A dessert-like Lambic with solid fruit presence. MrManning (1653), London, Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 2, 2008 Bottle at Chaucer’s Pub- Decants a deep purple liquid, sporting a creamy billowing purple head. Lots of retention and lace going on here. The nose was pretty straightforward but enjoyable. Aromas of black currant, concord grapes, berry jam, a smidgen of hops.Tastes of sweet and tart cassis, a bit of yeasty funk, add some hops also. Quite tart and tight on the finish. Good. f351c4v (408), Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 30, 2008 Pours a dark ruby-red color with a small pink head. Mildly dusty nose, like an old house, berries are there, too. Very sweet, with a great berry flavor. Lots of carbonation here, too. Slightly sour finish; it’s just too sweet for me. badlizard (2372), Berkeley, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 19, 2008 Bottle from Whole foods. Reddish with a pink creamy head. Aroma of cassis, which I really don’t care for, but a nice tangy fruity taste with some slight sourness. TheJollyOne (204), Kofu, Japan
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 13, 2008 Pours a fizzy indigo head which is quite tall and very slow to diminish. The body has lively bubbles within and is blue nearing purple in colour. The nose is one dimensional, but wonderfuly fruity, honing in on cassis and wild berries. The taste begins sweet, then turns a touch sour with cassis and a hint of lemon. Very nice! The palate is lively and slow to finish. A bit syrupy at times, but a delicious beer all round. kmweaver (2481), Sebastopol, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 29, 2008 750mL bottle. Pours a bold, hazy ruby color; significant pink head with great retention and textured, mixed-bubbled lacing; great pour. Solid amounts of funk and dark fruits in the aroma; nicely, lightly tart and much more solid fun than other Lindemans. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: dark fruitiness, tart citrus (lightly tart, but definitely present), and plenty of solid funk upfront; not genuine lambic, and closer than any of the other Lindemans so far; a good guilty pleasure. Medium finish: tart citrus, lingering funk and plenty of dark fruits; a touch sweet on the end. Floback (336), Naples, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 10, 2008 Bottle from Total Wine. First time rating this, but not the first purchase and consumption. Pours a dark purple color with half a fingernail of lavender head. Nose is grape and other dark fruits. Loads of berry, twigs, and vinous fruits in the flavor. Bursts with tartness. High carbonation and light/medium body. Refreshing and tasty. After tasting this I broke my girlfriend’s only flute and paid for it with shards of glass in my bare foot. Serves me right, eh?
