I tried this on May 20, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe’s" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This poured a purplish-black with a whitish head, which quickly faded. The aroma was primarily black currant with sour blueberries and grapes in the mix. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied, and highly carbonated. The flavour was a mix of sour grapes, black currants, and finished off with some hoppy bitterness.
While this is classified as a beer, it was more of a low-alcohol wine experience......but a great experience. jerc (3954), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Dark purple body looks almost black depending on the light, big foamy pink-purple head leaves some lace. (3+) Very fruity aroma, tart cassis. Flavour has more tart fruit than expected but alternates with a sweetness that is sort of sugary. Reminds of of Welches grape juice and certain fruit wines at the same time. (6+) Average palate. Very fruity overall, not terrible but not at all beer-like. Bottle at Volo Sparky27 (1608), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 13, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours a clear purple with a rocky light purple/pink head. Nose is fresh sweet black currants with a vinegar sour background. Palate is Welch’s grape juice and blackberries with a slight tart vinegar, aspirin finish. Medium mouth feel with nice lacing. Good stuff. gonzo46and2 (108), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | May 7, 2008 This is my favorite lambic. You’ll get a heaping nosefull of black pepper, corriander, and of course cassis. Flavor is acetic and sweet. This is a tart drink and not what you’d expect. I’d take this over the framboise, kriek, peche, or the apple lamibs from Lindeman’s but they are all very good. pepsican (885), The Student Ghetto, Iowa, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 7, 2008 purple pour with a big reddish purple head. Strong berry aroma. Flavor was more acidic and funky than expected with some sweet fruit dominating the finish. This one could be good, just needs a touch more acidity and funk... kidmartinek (1000), austin, Texas, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 5, 2008 Looks like cranberry juice with a large pink head and good lacing. Smells clean like clean water, and currants. Tastes like currant and mineral and a little wheat malt. slightly carbonated. A little burn. Pretty good beer/wine cross taste. bitbucket (2036), Kirkland, Washington, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 30, 2008 Bottle, foiled, capped and corked. Pours opaque purplish red with a thick and lacy dark pink head. Aroma of vinegar, berries and oak with a little hint of funk. Medium-light body and tingly carbonation. Sweet taste of berries, lemons and earth with a tart and lightly oaked finish. Maybe they could back off a little bit on the sweetness, and Lindemans gets slagged regularly for not making a ’real’ lambic; but this is still a refreshing and pretty well balanced beer. No complaints here. TrefwoordPunk (556), Leiden, Netherlands
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 10/20 | Apr 29, 2008 Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours a dark red with a small pink head and a strong smell of cassis. The mouthfeel is soft and the taste is pretty sweet and really high on fruit, this doesn’t feel or taste like a beer at all. And that the bad thing about this fruit lambic, it is easy-drinking and refreshing, but there’s just nothing beerish our lambicish about it
