Jan 21, 2008 Pours blackish royal purple w/ a full, creamy froth. The color of the head is a beautiful pinkish puple color and it just sits there stubborn as all getout. Brisk yet mild aromas of sweet, waxy cassis fruit. Full nectar w/ ample residual effers creating a fiberousy soft and expansive texture. This brew is luscious and chewy. When I poured it I knew I was in for a treat. Big, sweet and meaty cassis fruit all balanced by a fresh, briskly tart acidity. This brew is a mouthfull of gobstopper decadence but has a strong oak presence. The finish is long w/ lingering sweetarts and oak.

Jan 2, 2008 Red (Pinot) with a large frothy pink head. Aroma is overwhelmingly black currant. The flavor is very sweet with a good acidity and lots of black currant, leading to a dry woody note. Lively carbonation, light bodied.

Jan 1, 2008 Bottle. Pours a dark purple with a thin light purple head. The aroma is great; strong sweet currants. The body is sort of thin, but with some nice sourness. Overall, the flavor is dominated by the sour blackcurrant. Decent as an dessert, not a beer. But good anyway.

Jan 1, 2008 Strong smells and flavor of black currants (almost like a full flavored, bitter grape). Like all the lambics, this one rates high because of the aroma and flavor ratings.

Dec 29, 2007 Very grapish aroma. Pours a deep hazed amber with a thin looking white head. Flavor is sour fruitiness. Not the most complex flavor but very good. Reminds me a bit of welch’s grape juice with a twang. Mouth feel is ok but a bit thin. Another beer I never thought I would like but I do. Man I wish they could make a beer like this that was 8% abv.

Dec 28, 2007 25cl Bottle- Purple with a light pinky head. The aroma is strongly of blackcurrants. Blackcurrants also feature a lot in the taste which is lightly tart. Quite refreshing.

Dec 15, 2007 25 cl. bottle with 3,5% alc. by vol. Pours a nice hazy deep ruby colour with a fizzy fast disappearing darkish pink foam. Sweet bit sour aroma with a nice fruitiness of black currants. Good mouthfeel. The flavour has a very good fruitiness with black berries, a nice comfortable sourness, good sweetness and bit of wood. Sour well lasting sweet and fruity finish.
