Commercial Description:
Lindemans Cassis is a lambic made from local barley, unmalted wheat, and wild yeast. After spontaneous fermentation the lambic is aged in oak. Black currants are added creating a secondary fermentation and yielding an ale of exceptional flavor and complexity.

A currant soda-pop with slight hints of sourness in the background. Thoroughly drinkable, but ultimately unremarkable. Acidic and fruity (currant, how surprising!) notes on the aroma. Ruby, purplish color, mostly clear. A decent flavor, but a little thin and ultimately bitter. Medium-thin bodied and spritzy.

This is a tasty lambic with its black currant flavor but its a tad bit too watery for me and the aftertaste has some bitterness that I don’t find too appealing.

In the 355 mL bottle. Pours ruby purple with a dense and fluffy pink head. Aroma was a serious smell of wild mint. Why and how? The grape flavor is strong, but currants are distinctly present. Tartness and sweetness is experienced in each mouthful. Not my favorite of the litter. Finish very dry.

The bottle poured a hazy pinkish red beverage with a thin pink creamy head. The head, what there was of it, lasted well and there was some lacing on the glass. The aroma was of sweet, ripe currants. A very subdued note of wheat was just barely discernable. The body was medium-full with lively carbonation and a tart, dry texture. The flavor started off quite sweet and tart. The finish was average and ended up dry and tart as well.

"Wow what a fruit lambic i love this one. Pour was a dark purple and the head was massive and purple was well. Flavor was fruity and tart-sweet. Mouthfeel was done very well in this one, i think they sweeten their lambics "

Bottle. Dark ruby red, clear with a magenta head. Big berry nose and flavor. Slightly tart and refreshing. Good stuff.

Pours a dark red with pinkish-red head. Aroma is all currant and the flavor matches. Very similar to what you’d expect from blending a bunch of currants and then drinking the results. Tasty!

Very dark reddish purple with a big pink head, that lasted quite good. The powerful currants in the aroma doesn’t quite hide the earthy/bitter/etc. signs og a lambic, which is quite nice. Lots of berries in the flavour with a nice balance between sweetness and bitterness - quite bitter finish.
