Commercial Description:
Lindemans Cassis is a lambic made from local barley, unmalted wheat, and wild yeast. After spontaneous fermentation the lambic is aged in oak. Black currants are added creating a secondary fermentation and yielding an ale of exceptional flavor and complexity.

Labeled at only 3.5% ABV. A red beer with a huge pink head. The aroma is powerfully black currant - and nothing else - just like black currant juice - nice, but not really what I want in my beer. The flavor is very sweet with a good acidity and lots of black currant, leading to a dry woody note. I like the combination of the sweet black currant juice and the acidity.

The aroma is of strong currant. Cassis pours a deep purple with a light violet head and lots of lacing. There is a sweetness to the palate with a strong taste of currant. The finish is sour and pleasent.

The aroma is sweet with a lot of berries and a little wheat. The appearance is purple-red and hazy and the head leaves lots of lace. The flavor is very vinous and exhibits plenty of sweet fruity black current taste without too much bitterness. Aftertaste is tart, sweet, and slightly sour. Totally likable.

Bottled. Sampled at Delirium Café, Göteborg. Cherry red, light pink head. Pure juicy black currant nose with an actual malty feel to it, though only 3,5. Black currant juice in flavour with a sour-sweetish(there is an addition of 25% fructose) tone.

Smells wonderful. Light syrupy sweet flavor with lots of foam. Nice black currant flavor, reminds me of a soda. These are especially good as a break between heavy duty beers.

Big fruit nose, and poured a claret with a pink head with tons of lacking. Flavor was interesting. Unlike a few, I didn’t find this overly sweet. Had a touch of mint and a refreshing tartness. Very enjoyable

pours a very dark maroon with pink small head. Fruity taste, sweet, more for the people that do not like the beer taste. My initial reaction was that this beer had grapes in from the label, but a further rerad reveals black currants. It was different, but not as good as the other products.

Deep red with a pink head a tart musty aroma of black currants. Flavor carries through with enough acidity to balance. Nice earthy feel to it. Not too sweet-some oak qualities appear at the end. Tingly, acidic finish.
