| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 3, 2004 Bottle. Deep burgandy body with a deep pink head. The nose is not good. It reminds me of the smell I would smell when I used to weed our garden by hand-like very spicy hay. The taste on the front end is tart and a little sweet. The finish has the aforementioned weedy taste followed by a nice lambic sourness. All in all, this is multi-layered and complex. One one layer it is kinda nasty, on the other layer it is a good sourness. A very odd beer. zathrus13 (1317), Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA

It starts out sweet, but get a little sour as it goes. Interesting, but not really my thing. Walt (2289), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Sweet cassis flavour with some tartness in the finish. Rather light bodied. Very drinkable even though it is not traditional. burgerlicious (308), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Nov 13, 2004 I really don’t think I know what a currant is, but I guess that’s what this drink tastes like...very fruity. The body is purple and the head is very full and pink. The aroma is very flowery. The carbonation feels like a party on my tongue. I don’t like the taste as much as some of the other Lindemans lambics (peach and raspberry are better), so the flavor didn’t get a very high rating from me. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 11, 2004 Trappistenhuis, Ghent - a lighter choice designed to buy me some time off the stronger Belgian stuff! Superb aroma and looks amazing - purple with the pinkest head ever! Very rich blackcurrant flavour (like neat Ribena), which coats the throat like a Strepsil. Very sweet, but I enjoyed it. Sugar rush!
