Bottle, foiled, capped and corked. Pours opaque purplish red with a thick and lacy dark pink head. Aroma of vinegar, berries and oak with a little hint of funk. Medium-light body and tingly carbonation. Sweet taste of berries, lemons and earth with a tart and lightly oaked finish. Maybe they could back off a little bit on the sweetness, and Lindemans gets slagged regularly for not making a ’real’ lambic; but this is still a refreshing and pretty well balanced beer. No complaints here.

Aug 12, 2008 Frothy head on a maroon red pour good carbonation.Aroma fruity slight wine smell.Flavour a sourness to start then a sweetness,the wheat and yeast plus the currants mixing well to form a smooth Lambic with a fair body.Finish bitter sweet dry.

Aug 8, 2008 Looks like beat juice and smells like something intentially scented. Berry like. A very strong taste. Overpowering. Gives that ’shrinking tongue’ feeling. Not bad actually, but I’m not a fan of Fruitbeers or Lambics really. My wife was the one that bought this as she loves the style, I just tried it for a rate.

Aug 7, 2008 Poured a blueish purple color with a small off white purple head. Aroma was mainly black currants along with some funky. Flavor was mainly currants and blackberries with some funky and sourness in the finish.

Aug 6, 2008 [1340-20080510] 250mL bottle. Mild lambic yeast aroma has fruity tones. Murky, dark purple eggplant body with a medium-lasting bubbly magenta head. Sour blackberry cooler flavour. Medium body. Interesting mild fruitiness and sour but would not seek it again.

Jul 30, 2008 Extremely dark red, almost purple in color......opaque. Very fluffy, pinkish head. Strong, tart aroma of berries. Very tart fruit flavor up front, with a few hints of sweetness......crisp mouthfeel. Tart berry flavor slams into the back......finish is more of the same. This is definitely a lambic for the dark berry lover.
