’t Brugs Beertje - September ’08. Appearance: Red to purple. Huge head, pink, rocky and lasting. Aroma: cassis, of course, and other berries. Lightly citric and lactic. Flavor: sweet-citric fruitiness with notes of cassis, blackberries and raspberries. Wheaty background. "Peppery" yeast on aftertaste. Palate: light body, semi-oily texture. low to medium carbonation. Remark: unbalanced sweetness.

375ml bottle. Pours a somewhat clear but very dark reddish purple, similar to grape juice with a purple/pink frothy head. Aroma is strongly sweet, very bright and crisp, lots of acidic attack, great blackberry like fruit, musty and dusty in a more earthy way than most lambics, almost has a play-dough aroma. Flavor is super sweet, syrupy sweet, heavy black currant flavor, the flavor is great but it is just too sweet, extremely juicy, Jewish grape juice like, sweeeeet, nicely sour but just too sweet. Medium bodied, syrupy with low carbonation. Dry this one out and it’s a winner!

Pours a dark purple with minimal head but good lacing. Aroma is black berries, oak, red wine. Taste is sour dark fruit - currants of course, black berry, oak. Sweet initially then turns very tart and stays sour in the finish. Will drink again.

12 ounce bottle in large wine glass. Dark purple with pink head. Black currant jam with mild tartness aroma. Mild sweet tart black currant wood bread with slightly lingering black currant sugar sweetness. Not bad, but needs more tartness and a dryer finish.

Pours super dark, dark redness when backlit. Purple head. Well laced. Dusty attic nose, very astringent nose. Typical Lindemans. Tart and sweet flavors on a dark fruity aroma. Less drinkable than other Lindemans’concoctions but still pretty decent.

Very dark purple liquid which gives off the faintest hint of redness when back-lit. HUGE head with great retention and EXCELLENT lacing. Smell is of dusty tart black currants. Maybe some grape skins. Taste is of purple sweet tarts. (This is what black currants remind me of, though.) Sweet flavor enveloping true tartness. Dusty flavor, like the nose had. Slight alcohol warmth. Mouthfeel could be better. Way too thin for my tastes. Almost no feeling of carbonation. I drink this every now and then, but if I want Lindemans, I usually reach for another flavor

Bottle. Deep red colour with a nice pink head. Strong blackcurrant aroma. Lots of blackcurrant in the taste also, with some sweetness and sourness. Quite good blackcurrant juice.
