Bottle courtesy MrBunn. Pours a bit of a copper, smelling of green apple. Rather sweet with a slight bit of tartness. Almost borders on cloying at the end. Pretty good, but in small amounts.

Bottle (finally... for rating 1111). Pours a funky light brown color with a little bit of a sudsy head. Aromas are a bit tart with a green apple backbone. Flavor is an interesting enough mix of sweet malt and green apples with a fairly sticky mouthfeel.

Bottle, thanks to WeeHeavySD for sharing it! Pours a clear dark reddish-amber with a big bubbly white head. Very sharp / tart aroma, of fruit, malt, yeast, and sugar. Taste is sweet and sharp, lots of sugar, with malt, plums, and berries. Lingering sharp sweetness. Tasty.

Bottle, cortesy of Brigadier much thanks! Pours a hazy orange that browns in the center of the glass and maintains a thin off white head clinging to the edge of the glass and a thin bubbly layer over the body of the beer. Aroma is slightly sour, champagne notes and a hint of funk. Sweet upfront quickly followed by a potent sour blast which fades away again yielding to a nice fruity sweetness and hints of funk. Lively fizzy carbonation carries the flavor throughout your mouth. Leaves little aftertaste except a tart sweetness coating the gums.

Pours a light hazy dark orange color with a thin white head. Aroma is sweet and fruity. Flavors are sweet and sour and with dry fruits and specially cherries. A very pleasant beer, a great moment that leaves a long candy taste oin mouth.

Bottled
This has recently hit Ohio and as soon as I saw it I picked up a bottle. As elusive as faros are the chance to get to try one relatively fresh is a no brainer even if I have no idea how long it has been in transit. Being from Lindeman’s it suffers from the typical sweetness but otherwise is not a bad product at all.

Aroma / Appearance - The gradiated body held a thin layer of head. An most unusual battle of sweet and sour captured my attention. Underpinning it was the smell of a rustic barnyard on a lazy Saturday afternoon.

Flavor / Palate - The sour bite that comes at first soon mellows out into a musty wet finish. As it travels across the tongue it leaves a trail of cherries, chocolate milk mix, and funk that was not present in the last faro I sampled. It’s hard to say if I would buy this very often as it is unusual. On the other hand it is also only $5.49 a bottle which is "cheap" for most hard to acquire beers.

The bottle looks old - really good. The beer in the glass very zippy, nice head. Starts very fruity and sweet, the finish is more sourish, also a bit moldy. Very drinkable - not bad!
