bottle, pours amber with a small off white head. Very pleasant aroma of simple syrup, oak, and sourness. Taste is sweet, but not too much, and turns sour in the finish. Not bad, this is like a baby steps to sours kind of beer.

Amber beer w/ a short lived off white, thin head. Lightly tart and sugary aroma w/ a touch of buttery barnyard. A touch of breadiness from malt. Flavor is balanced to sweet w/ a candi sugar toasty malt flavor. Light fruitiness and a touch of barnyard again. The finish is sweet up front, but dry and sugary at the aftertaste. The more lingering aftertaste is a lightly barnyardy funk. Creamy mouthfeel, lighter body and high level of carbonation. I’m not sure what to make of this one. I’m not all that hip on lambics due to their sourness, and this one has barely any, but I’m still not really fond of it. I’m not sure I’d drink more than one of these at any given time, and there’d be time between those.

Bottle pours dark amber/light red color with off white head. Aroma is mostly yeast with subtle sweet candi. Medium mouthfeel. Flavor is apple, cherry, upfront with slight tart notes. Finish is sweet candi that is not too sweet. This is a really nice brew. I recently had a couple aged faro’s. I’m glad I got to try a more fresh one because the aged versions tend to lose their tartness altogether. I plan on picking up a few more these. Its a nice brew.

Muddy brown, copper color. Minimal frothy head. Sweet candy sugar aroma with wild yeast character and cherry notes. Fruity flavor with sweet plum, tart cherry and apple notes. Sour cider aftertaste. Light body, fizzy carbonation, acid finish. Refreshing.

Pours crystal clear brown with medium head with nice lacing. Fresh lovely aroma but the sweetness in the falvor surprised me a bit, otherwise the flavor is refreshingly sour and tart as it should. A nice brew though a bit too sweet, for a 25 cl bottle with 4,2 abv I could have handled some less sweetness in it. (Strange my bottle says 4,2 abv while it says 4,75 abv here?)

Bottle. Pours golden copperish with a very dense head. Lambic aroma’s, but more to say of the flavors who remain good in balance with no overdose of kandi sugar imo.

Appearance is quite good, cherry red body with lasting and lacing white head. Expected sugar in the taste but not overly so, balances out the sourness quite well, though cant find too many other flavours. A bit easier to drink than other faros I have tried.

One of the extras sampled at the Sam Smith tasting at Blacklick Wine and Spirits on 2.6.09. Pours a semi-opaque amber with a thin white head. Aroma of vinegar, wild yeast and tart fruit. Flavor is WHOA, surprisingly sweet. Still, there is some fruity tartness of apple and berries. Not bad overall.
