| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 11, 2009 Bottle from the bier palace in Belgium. Clear, reddish color with mall white head. Aroma is super sweet candy with a mild tartness. Sweet cherry and red apple come out in the flavor with a tad bit dirtiness, soft tang as well. Watery with slight acidity and light carb. Drinkable but undesirable at the same time, way too sweet for my palate. tlind2 (605), Helsinki, Finland
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jan 11, 2009 250 ml bottle. Amber color, low off-white head. Sweet-sour aroma. Initially sweet taste that picks up some sour tang along the way as well as some oaky notes. Sugary finish. Medium body, high carbonation. A bit too sweet for my palate. Pours a sorta hazy amber with not much a head. Nose has some sweetness and some mild tartness. Flavor is a bit sweeter overall. Faro is pretty good, but i’d rather drink gueuze or fruit-lambic. gam (1123), brisbane, Australia

The nose is herbal, leafy, sweet, corn, no tartness, very sweet and sugary. The flavor is sweet, caramely, earhty and herbal as opposed to tart and acidic, mild tartness, tastes more like an oud bruin than a lambic. JCB (1796), Durham, North Carolina, USA

I agree with my homies that this one wasn’t up to the level of the earlier Faros and sours, but I still found it enjoyable. It was drier and more metallic than earlier entries, and was more one-dimensionally sugary. Decent. durhambeer (1229), Durham, USA

Odd sweetness and a flavor that makes me think of paper and paste. But as this is a faro, add sweet caramel to that taste. I just don’t like this.
