250 ml - the Beer Bistro (Toronto)
Pours an Amber/Ruby hue with a nice rim of champagne bubbles. From there, it is all sweet - the aroma, the flavor and the thick syrup finish. One to close the night, as the palate will be affected by this one all night. There is a nice carnelized (kinda lightly burned sugar) element that is nice to this.

Dark amber color, not much head. Sourish peach nose. Suprisingly peach dominates also flavor. Typical faro - very sugary, but this one has very pleasant acidic finish. Fruity aftertaste. As good as a faro can get!

Bottle at Kulminator. For my first ever faro, I was not sure of what to find. Reddy brown with a thin off-white head. Nose is gueuzey and acetic, fruity and lemony. Strong peach tones. Mouth is sweet, smooth, peachy, gentle. Slightly metallic lingering long sweetness at the end. Little one-dimensional, but very good.

My friend Artem dragged this back from Belgium for me. It pours a thick and murky dirty orange color. Has a small but sticky head. Aroma is orange with sticky sweetness (but not as much most other Faros) with some light spikes and faintly acidic earth (that the lambic part). Taste is sweet but not too strong again, with some granny smith apple skins. Leaves a light sour-orange aftertaste. Least sweetness of the faros I have tried.

0,25 l.Nice deep amber color, minimal but delicious head. Aroma like a barnyard, some fine fruity perfumes, candy sugar.. The flavour is very sweet with a minimal tart, the body is complex.

Notes from 12/16/07. Big thanks to my Secret Santa for the elusive faro style. 375mL bottle, no date. Hazy caramel orange with a thin off-white head. Aroma of sweet overripe cherries, some funk, and earth. fairly sweet with light acidity. Flavor has a moderate amount of wet paper oxidation--still pretty sweet--, though not as much as other beers from the Lindemans family. Cherries make another appearance as well, but otherwise the same. Medium body with low carbonation. Not really sure how to rate it since it’s my first faro--not too bad of a beer--I’m just not sure why someone would bastardize a lambic and dump sugar in it.

Amber with tiny head. Sweet aroma with light sour notes. Sweet flavor with caramel, apple and accidic notes. Goes well with my dessert.

This beer completes my styles. Thank you Maria! Aroma of barnyard and a hint of vommit. Pour was a nice dark brown with a one finger off white head. Taste was very weird. Tastes like seltzer water with a cup of sugar mixed in. Way too sweet for me. Very good carbonation. This is so sugary that I feel if I bite down I will feel sugar crystals between my teeth. Not bad.
