Cobber of color with a light white head. An aroma which has some sour and sweet notes. Hints of bitter apples. A fresh flavor with notes of sweets, caramel and some sour notes.

375ml bottle: poured clear copper with a small beige head. More carbonation than I thought it would have. Mild cognac aroma with a touch of walnuts. Flavor is somewhat sweet at first followed by a mild sour finish. Just a smidge of cherries. We all know it’s going to be sweet so just enjoy it for what it is. A nice drink.

Tough aroma on this one.....not something I’m enjoying....sweetish yet sour notes abound. A dark amber color...minimal head. Flavor is initially sweet..sugary...sourness comes in late and hard. Meets the style requirements..just not a very enjoyable drink.

Bottle @ Bierbrasserie Cambrinus, Brugge. Big near-white head over a slightly hazed amber body. Sweet aroma of almond and marzipan. Sweet-flavored as well. Starts with candy-sugar and notes of canned sweet fruits. Ends up with acidic cherries and a refreshing sourness. A bit on the sweet side, but a still a good balance of sweet- and sourness though. Enjoyable.

This faro poured a light brown color from a 375ml bottle. Small to no head visible. Aroma is brown sugar ad citrus, very sweet. A medium to full bodied faro. Very sweet. Kind of honeyish with a touch of sour/tart fruit at the finish. Little to no carbonation as well. Sweetness seems to build as you progress. Lots of brown sugar abd honey. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet.

Being my first time with a Faro, how do you rate it? What’s it supposed to taste/smell like? I haven’t really a clue, so I will just rate on whether or not I liked it. Aroma was sweet, plastic, boozy, fake fruit, and caramel. Flavor is a nice sour/sweet combo with a sugary finish (heavy on the sugary side). Not bad. Don’t know how it compares to something better or worse, so for now I will just consider it average.

Pretty mahogany with a medium off white head. Sour, acrid lemon, grape skins, canned pear, and fruit salad. Flavors take a back seat to nearly cloying candi sugar. Slight pear, cherry, doughy yeastiness. Some new oak, and other damp woody flavors. Traces of lemony sourness linger in the background in the sweet finish.
