A dark amber color...minimal head. Flavor is initially sweet..sugary...sourness comes in late and hard. Meets the style requirements..just not a very enjoyable drink. OleR (2093), Oslo, Norway

Big near-white head over a slightly hazed amber body. Sweet aroma of almond and marzipan. Sweet-flavored as well. Starts with candy-sugar and notes of canned sweet fruits. Ends up with acidic cherries and a refreshing sourness. A bit on the sweet side, but a still a good balance of sweet- and sourness though. Enjoyable. beerguy101 (3946), Newark, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 9, 2007 This faro poured a light brown color from a 375ml bottle. Small to no head visible. Aroma is brown sugar ad citrus, very sweet. A medium to full bodied faro. Very sweet. Kind of honeyish with a touch of sour/tart fruit at the finish. Little to no carbonation as well. Sweetness seems to build as you progress. Lots of brown sugar abd honey. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet. GG (1644), NorCal, California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 3, 2007 Being my first time with a Faro, how do you rate it? What’s it supposed to taste/smell like? I haven’t really a clue, so I will just rate on whether or not I liked it. Aroma was sweet, plastic, boozy, fake fruit, and caramel. Flavor is a nice sour/sweet combo with a sugary finish (heavy on the sugary side). Not bad. Don’t know how it compares to something better or worse, so for now I will just consider it average. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 3, 2007 Pretty mahogany with a medium off white head. Sour, acrid lemon, grape skins, canned pear, and fruit salad. Flavors take a back seat to nearly cloying candi sugar. Slight pear, cherry, doughy yeastiness. Some new oak, and other damp woody flavors. Traces of lemony sourness linger in the background in the sweet finish. ChillCoat (1029), Concord, California, USA

Sweet, bourbon nose with some fruit and oxydized notes. fruity and very sweet. Very dry but heavy finish. bitbucket (2034), Kirkland, Washington, USA

Pours a cloudy copper with an off-white head supported by streams of carbonation. Lightly sour cherry aroma. Soft, round mouthfeel with surprisingly light carbonation, given the look of my glass. Lightly sweet taste of oxidized apples and cherries. A touch of woody tartness in the finish. after4ever (2776), Brier, Washington, USA

Sweet and sour oxidized apple nose, plenty of cherry there as well. Hazy dark amber body with plenty of tan suds. Big mild cherry/apple attack that persists through the mid palate and the finish. Wonderful stuff. I could drink this now and then if it were local.
