The aroma was lightly tart with an acidic nature and some estery fruit character. The beer poured into the chalice clear amber with a low white well lasting head. The flavor was sweet, very, very sweet. Along with the sweetness was a light tartness and a fruity character. The sweetness was forced and unlike a cloying malt sweetness, this was that of saccharine. The finish was sweet, of course, and the body was medium with a fairly low carbonation. I had this in Belgium fresh and found it undrinkable. This bottle was much more pleasurable, but still too sweet for doing anything other than putting on a child’s pacifier. 37.5 cl corked and capped bottle, purchased at a Delhaize (Food Lion) in Brussels. cgarvieuk (4214), Edinburgh, Scotland

There is yeast and sourness in the flavor, but tempered with sugar sweetness. Brown color and lots of carbonation. Its a shame faros can’t be found in the United States. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 2, 2007 Bottle. A sweet, yeasty, fruity aroma (I couldn’t put my finger on which fruits were there). Taste has some hop and malt, with an underlying lambic fruit flavour. A sweet, fruity, acidic finish. Not too sweet. Moderate carbonation. Fairly refreshing and easy to drink.
