The nose on this beer is inviting, with good aromas of sweet malt, and estery fruit. The palate is sweet and malty, with lots of good malt flavor, paired with nice candy sugar sweetness, and a back drop of sour fruity flavor. This beer finishes with more good sweet and fruity flavors up front, then ends with some sour fruitness that lingers. Nice beer, very enjoyable, very food friendly. I like the addition of candy sugar in this beer. It gives it a really nice sweet/sour character making it a very enjoyable beer drinking experience. kkearn (1013), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jan 21, 2007 Lucky to find this on tap (and on special, 3 Euros) at Clichy’s Tavern in the Montemarte neighborhood of Paris. Pours a reddish brown with a creamy head. Smells of sour green apples and brown sugar, caramel. Everything about this beer is sweet. Thin bodied. Like spiced cider, with a bit of carbonation and candied prunes. Has some Belgian dusty basement quality too it. Not enjoyable at all, and the only beer from this fine establishment that I did not finish. Maria (6312), Thisted, Denmark
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jan 2, 2007 Warm amber with a red hue and a creamy, but moderate head. The aroma is slightly sour with notes of candy sugar, caramel and a hint of nuts. The flavour is nicely balanced between acidity and a sweet/sour finish, and the candy sugar never becomes cloying or pushy. It’s a really nice faro. Stew41 (1054), Caulfield, Australia

Flavours are characterised by an earthy, woody, barely note. Sweet, slightly tart finish. stouby (1955), Holbaek, Denmark

Dark amber with a white head. Aroma moderate malty, notes of fruits. Moderate sweet and sour, and when you get used to it, smooth and round. Light body, normal carbonated. SHIG (2039), Aviano, Italy
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 22, 2006 Bottle: Poured a reddish brown amber with a white head. Aroma seemed to have that sour berry fruit smell with a hint of sugar. Nice sweet berry and malt flavor. Kinda diffrent than what I expected from all the ingredients I read.
