0.33l (I guess) bottle at the Hopdevil in Zagreb
Ooooh, how nice, my first Faro :). Glad to have that rare style out of my way. Poured a very dark murky amber body with a tiny white head that went away fast. The nose is pretty much absent... some raisins I guess. The taste is... yes, sugary. Brown sugar... something I can’t nail down, cherries, maybe some maltiness, some apple tartness, a bit funky and yeasty and some tiny, blunt dryness. Not all that sour Of course, sugar dominates all, and everything else lurks in the background. Nothing I would mind having again.

Bottle shared by sliffy at Columbus Tasting 3.0 - Pours dark amber with a slight offwhite head that didn’t stay very long. Aromas of pungent sour, and some barnyard. Flavor is very sour, apples, cherries, and some candi sugar there. Sour and fruity at the finish too. Palate is quite acidic not much carbonation.

Bottle thanks to Madsberg: Peach color with a fizzy white head. Aroma, apricots, sweet pale malts, some sour. Flavor, Apples, cider like, some sourness to it. I kinda liked this one, but it’s still a weird style.

Cloudy red/copper with a large frothy head. Aroma is quite sour, compost, and very sweet candy. The flavour is equally candy sweet/acid sour with some nice dark fruit and nut flavours too. Sour fruity finish and aftertaste.

Pours murky brown, thin white head. Sweet, woody & slightly acidic aroma. Flavour is sweet, like a soft drink, and retains lambic woodyness, but none of the lambic sourness. Is very sweet in the aftertaste.

This was my first faro, years ago. Bottle. 37,5 Deep golden colour with a thin off-white foam. Sweet, honey, almost orange peel like aroma. Very sweet, light sourness, lightly winy and sherry flavour.
