Definitely get a mouth full of that belgian candi sugar and the aroma honestly reminded me of $5 Andre champagne and the mouthfeel was very similar - incredibly sugary and fizzy. Poured a very beautiful amber color though, with a quickly fading white head and minimal lacing. An interesting try and I’d be interested to find other faro’s that aren’t lindemans. sebletitje (1997), Tampa, Florida, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 26, 2009 bottle into snifter. Really nice rich mahogany color, clear, with an orgaish/redish hue and a nice white head that fades slowly and leaves nice lace. Aroma is soft and pleasant - very light gueze quality mixed with a light belgian candi quality. Flavor is startlingly sweet at first, but with smaller sips and more time, it gets much more bearable. Sweet Belgian sugar upfront that fades slowly into a somewhat tartish dry (with even a small hint of funk) gueze base. Medium to light bodied on the palate with just the right amount of carbonation - very fine carbonation, i.e. not bursting with an overzealous quantity of huge C02 bubbles that often characterize lambics. Overall: not my favorite lambic style, but very interesting and fun to try. Oakes (8142), Kowloon, Hong Kong
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 24, 2009 Brownish amber color with a thick head. Appley aroma with just a hint of lambic leather. Sweet, but with a grapefruity bitterness. Refreshing lemony character, almost minty. Good faro. ketchepillar (489), Des Moines/Grinnell, Iowa, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 19, 2009 Aroma is a bit vomity. Very grainy. Very very sweet. Too sweet. It’s an odd sweetness too. Kinda of like lemonade. As I drink it, I keep waiting for the sour to come, but it doesn’t. I could see this style being good. beeronmypants (15), Des Moines, Iowa, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 19, 2009 Thaks as well to MrBunn. The nose had the funk with some sweet undertones. First sip I was shocked as I thought it was be more funky. Very lemony flavor and sour. I can see drinking this on a very hot day and needing something refreshing. Not what I would want to expect from a lambic but it is Lindemans. CanIHave4Beers (917), Des Moines, Iowa, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 19, 2009 Enormous thanks to MrBunn for this one, and finishing out my 72 out of 72 style ratings. Pours a hazy deep gold with a small head. Aroma is slightly funky with notes of bile, really not very appealing. Flavor is considerably better than the aroma immediately there is some good lemon and a good sweet on tart thing going on, this is way too sweet and tastes like Lindemans Kriek without the cherry flavoring. The beer is seriously refreshing and I can see why someone would like the style. Not so much my thing, but tasty enough.
