Malty sweet sugary aroma and taste is smooth. Almost iced cidery mouthfeel. A little sweet for me. plovmand (1728), Helsinge, Denmark
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 5, 2009 Bottle. Hazy reddish brown body with a big very creamy light brown head leaving huge lacing on the glass. Perfection. Sweet fruity aroma with a slight sourish touch. Honey like flavour with lots of fruit and also a bit earthy. It ends up sweet fruity and a bit sour. I liked it! azlondon (667), Fribourg, Switzerland
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 2, 2009 My first ever Faro:
Appearance: Chestnut brown. Hazy. Little head.
Aroma: Sweet, cork. Earth.
Taste: Wow, very sweet. Shandy? Slight sourness too. Best lambic for me, but that doesn’t say much.
Info: 375ml bottle. 2/4-2009 MAP (1089), Lakewood, Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 29, 2009 Purchased at Rozi’s in Lakewood. The pour is a very attractive amber with a slight haze to it and a small head. The aroma is a very sweet earthy mix: spicy sweet notes of peach, wood, dirt and wet cobwebs. The flavor is pretty interesting, sweet, syrupy, woody and a slight bit malty. Unfortunately this is a little too sweet for me. At least it has a slight bitterness going for it at the end, and the earthy tones, but it still is a little one-sided. TET (241), Finland
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 28, 2009 Brown beer with medium white head. Aroma is sweet and sour, dark dried fruits and overdone bananas. Flavour is sweet, raisins and some fermented fruits. Sticky and quite nice to drink. Unusual nuancees are found from Lindemans Faro, but if there would be less sugar this would be more refreshing and better. DrHomolka (730), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 25, 2009 375ml bottle. Pours a deep golden/copper color, much darker than most Geuezes. A fluffy substantial head is formed and has good retention. Aroma shows floral and spicy elements, not much traditional funk though some esters are noticeable underneath. Candy, skittles, slight earthiness and pepper. Flavor is sweet and very candy like. Sugar is very noticeable and tastes more like sugar than sweet beer. This is very different. Lots of sweet candy flavor which is not something I’m used to. People who don’t like beer would be all over this. I prefer more traditional lambics. At least I finally got to try this style. danielst (150), Vienna, Austria
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Mar 25, 2009 Sour fruit aroma of pears and apples, again reminiscent of champagne; weak sweetness and somewhere - with imagination - there’s feeble humulus. The flavour is sweet fruity (as the aroma); soft carbonation. The sweetness lingers at the palate and is not fully balanced by the sourness and subtle bitterness (though the bitterness emerges as it warms). Tickles and warms your lips! rosenbergh (941), Helsinki, Finland

Clear reddish copper colour with thin white head. Sour yeasty and fruity (apple) aroma. Sour green apple flavour. Quite fizzy. Interesting sweet and sour flavour (not like Chinese food).
