Flavor is complex--in the first taste, all you get is the raspberry sweetness. But then you get some other notes, particularly a vinegary tartness and some earthy mustiness. Very smooth drinking with a light, spritzy mouthfeel. Too sweet for my taste, but drinkable. Imaena (259), Portland, Maine, USA

Fruit more than lambic. Great beer to get the girlfreind or non beer loving friend. Looks nice in a champagne flute at fancy parties. CanIHave4Beers (897), Des Moines, Iowa, USA

The beer looks nice too with it’s pretty purple color and big pink head that leaves good lace. That unfortunately is where the good stuff ends with this one. This is entirely too sweet, and the fruit flavor and sweetness certainly does not seem natural at all. Very much like an alcipop, with just a touch of tart sourness. The best things about lambic really don’t shine through all the sweetener and fruit flavoring in this one. It is ok sometimes, and I can honestly say that a few years back I quite enjoyed one of these now and again, not so much these days. Buy one for your girlfriend; you know.... if she doesn’t like beer. elihapa (1066), Honolulu, California, USA

First of all, I must say I wasn’t prepared to bring out a cork-opener for a bottle of beer. That was kind of fun. Great label too. I got this for my girlfriend, and took a few sips myself in order to rate. Nose of fresh fruit, rasberry, pear, strawberry, and a touch of tartness. Palate is velvety smooth with light carbonation. Really lets the rich flavors coat your mouth. Excellent flavor as well: featured rich notes of sweet raspberry and dark cherry, some dark chocolate (was this me imagining a pairing?), and a touch of earthiness. A beautiful drink – definitely an indulgence – that will impress even a skeptic. beerchugger (301), Colorado, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 16, 2008 This beer pours an attractive deep dark in the center and rather pinkish on the sides. The head is very pink in color. Smells very good. It has a wonderful aroma of raspberris and is also rather vinous. This is sweet, no denying that, but the taste of tart raspberries comes out rather well. The raspberries are represented well in all aspects. I could hardly tell there was any alcohol as the raspberries dominated much of the taste. It was very lively with carbonation. This is a very easy drinking beer, tastes more like raspberry soda, only better. Pretty good beer overall. cazort (418), Newark, Delaware, USA

But I thought it was pretty awful. **WAY** too sweet. Tastes like raspberry syrup with an aftertaste of something remotely resembling belgian ale thrown in. Heavy. And pretty disgusting. Even my girlfriend, who loves the peach and won’t touch other types of beer because they’re too bitter, thought this one was way too sweet and poured it out in the sink. No good! aoa56 (18), zeeland, Michigan, USA

Fruity sweet aroma that is followed by the flavor.
Sweet but a touch of tartness. Not really a Lambic as I know them, but this is very drinkable.
