The first sip was striking...man, that’s a lot of raspberries. It makes New Glarus Raspberry Tart seem tame. Really, really sweet, difficult to drink with mild sour lambic notes...very mild. Hardly "beerlike" at all...just sweet raspberry mash. A little too much. manstanding (1), USA does not count | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 12, 2008 Bottle. Dark red, pinkish head. Aroma and taste sweet berry. Good drink as a change of pace. DKTN (110), Mc Donald, Tennessee, USA

Maybe good for someone who likes sweet raspberry fruit punch-- but I like it a little more sour and complex. hoplover406 (204), Crofton, Maryland, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 10, 2008 Tap @ Faegans. Served in small tulip glass. Looks plum with pinkish 1 finger head. Bright fruity aroma of rasberry sherbert. Tart and quenching. Taste is nothing like any beer that I’ve ever had. I would have guessed some kind of Bartles and James wine cooler or something. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 10, 2008 Pours a dark red that is clear but hard to see thru, full high pink head, fell bluffy and fizzy. sweet sweet rasberry fruity aroma, smooth initial milky palate with dry finish. full bodied mouthfeel , thick. sweet front and smooth mild tartness behind the overwhelming fruit sweetness of rasberries, definilty brings the sweetness out and hides the tartness. very good full and light. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 9, 2008 Bottle from Asda. Pours a dark purple red with a thin purpley pink head that laces incredibly well. Nose is raspberries with a slight tartness but plenty of sweetness. Mouth is sweet raspberry with a tartness catching the throat and some lasting sweet and sour play. Very sweet raspberry end, but gulpable. Not as refreshing as the Kriek, but nice still. Strong raspberry juice aroma with hints of Lambic character. Sweet raspberry flavor with sugar and some light tart notes. Light to medium body. Too sugary as I expected, and nothing very complex about this one, but if you like raspberries (as I do) this one is very enjoyable.
