The flavor was almost a raspberry sherbet, very sweet and tart. Maybe i just dont know lambic’s very well, but it could have used some alcohol content to thicken it up a bit. Still very nice and refreshing. MadIndian (997), Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 7, 2008 Bottle from Canals. Red pour with thin head. Fruity rasberry tarty aroma. Flavor was cherry and not as tart as I thought it would be. A little too sweet for me but not that bad. JoeinUccle (911), Brussels, Belgium

Pre-cake, this dark ruby beer with pink head comes across as slightly too sweet despite a nice, full berry flavor and nose. Soda-pop-like bubbling. After a bite of the sweeter cake, the beer becomes a bit more moderate. Maybe a more bitter, dark chocolate cake for this next time. But I can’t see drinking this beer on its own... my tastes don’t run quite this sweet. Update: Pairing this with some homemade cheesecake brought out the best fruity tartness in this beer. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 5, 2008 I bought this beer for my introduction to the lambic style and i’m enjoying it, its got great carbonation and sweet raspberry flavor, it sits in my glass reminding me of black cherry soda in appearance, taste is quite similiar but with smaller bubbles, i like it. decaturstevo (1997), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 5, 2008 A very tart aroma of fruity raspberry. Slightly hazed orange pour. Very tart berry flavor that rolls to a pretty nice sweet. All round solid mouthfeel. Very pleasant beverage, I wish it was a tad higher on the abv. after4ever (2773), Brier, Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 4, 2008 12-oz, capped, corked, and foiled. Pours deep blackish red with a frothy pink head that quickly falls away to thin film and light lace. Nose hits you like a ton of fruits--big seedy jammy raspberry extravaganza. Smells nice and natural though. Body’s medium, not nearly as fizzy as the pour might suggest. Sticky in a pleasant way. Fruit-sugar-y to the point of tartness on the mid-palate, positively erupting with raspberry goodness. Gotta be in the mood, but this is a miraculous little mainstay of training wheels beers for a reason, and what an indispensable tool for cooking. Tasty to drink once in a while too. mgoy (343), Oak Brook, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 2, 2008 Lindemans Framboise is a nice change of pace compared to traditional ales. I like the flavor, however, this fermented beverage reminds me of the drinks we used to steal from our parents in high school. Very similar to an alcoholic sparkling raspberry juice. bigtaster (184), Grand Rapids, USA
