2007 bottle. No pop from the cork but a fair white head on a goblet of golden amber. Salty cheese aroma. Expected wine and salt flavour with a strong drinkable sour edge. Dry with long lasting flavour pockets in the teeth and gums. I think it is the aftertaste pockets I like most.

Bottle at Rudolf’s sour tasting 2009. 2005 bottle. Pours apale to medium golden. Aroma was muted geueze compared to the other offerings of the day. Taste had a sharper harshness & tartness. Least favorite gueuze of the day, but way better than the carrot beer

Bottle from Andrew. Thanks man! Orangish pour. Aroma is funky and smells quite tart. I smell some lemon zest. Flavor is dry and tart but not overly sour. Fruity and earthy are a nice combination. I am glad to finally try this.

Bottle notched ‘06’, has a clear gold pour with a mixture of orange throughout, gave a white one to two finger head, medium effervescence, leaves some lacing on the glass, got a sour citrus aroma when I popped the cork, aroma of apples, grapes, sour funk, wood, faint Rhubarb, and faint fruit sweetness? when poured into the glass, wood and ground earthiness in the background, has a good sour pucker on the palate, sip starts with apple and grape flavors with some sweetness, and ends dry, sourness permeates the palate, there is a faint taste of Rhubarb but definitely leaves a dominate Rhubarb sour tartness on the tongue that reminds me of picking Rhubarb in the backyard, peeling skin off and dipping the stuff into sugar before munching on it, left a good sour tart in the mouth, each sip of this ale sends a sour tart tingle up my nostrils, mouth feel is a little less than medium, finish is pretty dry and leaves a sourness on the palate that last a long time after the sip, the sour seems to stick to my oral cavities and will not let go, I can see this as a great Summer drinker if you like the mouth pucker it serves up.

750 ml bottle from Jonathan Ron Brielle. Pours a rather good looking slightly hazed orange with a large foamy bright white head that leaves tons of lace and has some serious lasting power. Aroma is citrusy and funky. Body was far to thick and chewy for the style plus add in some serious carbonation and this one was just all wrong. Flavor is citrus, dry green apple cider, funky and tart. If this was thinner it would have rated much higher.

Had bottles many times. Nice balance of sour and sweet. Nice creamy mouthfeel, not too sticky. A little citrus tart. This ages really well. Slightly thinner and a bit more sour. Nice.

Kind gift from our Mes. Slight murky amer orange. Lovely palate, so refreshing and a pleasure to drink. Some tartness and sourness but in my opinion, just the right amount. Belter.

Bottle. Pours a lightly hazy golden light brownish amber with a medium beige head. Nice large funk, old musky books, vinegar, yeast. Medium bodied, nice acid, lemon, with more lovely funkiness coming through. Finishes slightly dry and crisp. Very tasty.
