Strong and yeasty with nites of orange and banana. The flavour is very sour. Almost a bit off puting. but as you drink it the palate comes out more. The beer has a kind of citrus sourdough flavour. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 14, 2009 Bottle. Pours slightly hazy golden orange with a rocky white head that quickly diminishes to surface cover. Nose has a mineral character with notes of apple, citrus, earth and yeast. Flavour is tart, but not overly sour, and has notes of lemon, grape, apple, with a hint of malt. Mouthfeel is very dry, with the tartness overriding the sweetness and lingering for a while. The comparison to champagne is fairly apt; this is a very nice geuze and particularly well balanced. pintbypint (1007), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

Small white head with tight bubbles, leaves just a bit of lace. Nose is sour, citrusy, yeasty, dusty. Tart, tangy start, lemon acidity, light funky yeast notes. Dry finish with tart/sour lemon attack. Effervescent, crisp mouthfeel, medium body. Very pleasant. pineypower (1096), Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Nov 10, 2009 Pours out a cloudy golden/orangy color with a lasting 1 finger white head. Aroma is of some citrus notes, vinous tart notes and some funk. Taste is complex and well balanced, not too tart, light citrus, sour notes, earth, grass and maybe a touch of fruit. Rather well done in a style I’m really starting to warm up to. Nena (157), West Seattle, Washington, USA

Aroma is sour apple and lemon. The flavor is very tart with more apple and lemon notes, and as it warms I found myself tasting earth, wet hay, and grass notes. Very tasty. 17thfloor (1484), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Pours a clear lighter golden with a nice fine frothy white head. Dusty funky sour tart, very nice, acidic aroma. Light tangy, slightly chalky, sharp acidic but still very clean flavor, grainy finish, quite enjoyable. Light bodied, sharp palate but softer fine sizzling carbonation. bluebetty (118), Australia
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 4, 2009 Bottle. Shared with Owen and Danny. Thanks guys. Pours a slightly hazy orange. Lively carbonation produces rocky white head. This disappears pretty quickly though.Flavours show a little citrus, plenty of sourness and barnyard funk. Some toasted aromas as well but these are very much secondary. Initial flavours show a little of the malt but these are quickly replaced with lemon sourness and a little acidity. Very dry on the finish and quite sour after tastes that hangs in there for a while. wonderful beer.
