Lighter sour taste than some other Gueze. However this is a very drinkable lambic. With its low acid and tasty sweetness you keeps drinking it down. Great price too. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 19, 2008 Officially the only product I can take seriously from Lindemans, I did not like this the first time I had it because I had drank numerous Cantillon products prior to the tasting of this.
Going in with a fresh palate I feel differently, but I know this is far from the best Gueze.
Aroma is similar to a dry white wine, not really champagne like, more stinky... more Pinot Grigio.
This has a musty taste, not too musty mind you. It is also sour, not too sour mind you.
Basically this has all the refreshing light pleasantries of a traditional Gueuze without too much funk, without too much horse. Take from that what you will, I prefer a little bit harder a lambic, but this is tasty.
I like that this has become more available in my area.

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 1, 2008 This was officially the first beer I’ve ever needed a corkscrew to open. Pours a slightly hazy light gold color (actually much like the label) with a thick head. Lovely dusty citrus aroma - tart oranges and grapefruit meet a musty barnyard funk. Flavor has a good tang, but isn’t as vibrant as the aroma. A subtle leafy, almost herbal note kicks in, and accents the tart fruits to make it seem like a liquid citrus grove. Slightly dilute, possibly just undercarbonated, and with a surprisingly oily palate - this one doesn’t wash clean. It leaves an aftertaste of bitter citrus (lemon) rind. I like it quite a bit - it’s very easy to drink, and refreshing all around... it just seems like it’s lacking a bit of vibrance. paytoplay (134), , California, USA

Complex nose of brett / barnyard, white fruit. Balanced sour, not too much and not too little. Very easy to drink and really good with food. Also very very nice price! cyrenaica (440), Milton, Ontario, Canada

I tried this beer on November 19, 2008 at "Smokeless Joe’s" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer poured a clouded golden-orange into the glass with almost no head whatsoever. Effervescence was on display. The aroma was sour, and musty. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied, with medium-carbonation....although that may have been lost in the pucker. The flavour was malty with some possible green apple hints. Very tart. Definitely worth trying. nqualls (1428), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 17, 2008 Bottle. Poured a hazy orange color with a bubbly head. Aroma of apples and some oak notes. Flavor was sour apples. I was impressed with this style, being my first gueuze. Will try more. JCB (1777), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 31, 2008 Bottle shared by durhambeer - thanks, Bob! Deep orange pour, slightly cloudy, and with a more substantial carbonation than I’d expected for the style. It’s very mellow and drinkable, surprisingly refreshing in its integration of tart and woody notes. The finish is still nice and dry, though. Fine stuff.
