(bottle): Pours a cloudy yellow fizzy. White head, small bubbles. Kinda looks like champagne. Very sour aroma, like rotten something, but only the sour. Very sour taste, bubbly mouthfeel. Different feeling. Odd. Different taste if I drink it with my whole mouth versus just my throat.

Bottle at the Rover, Göteborg, Sweden. Hazy orange with a small fizzy head. Complex fruity, cidery with green apples, wood, and barnyard notes. Light to medium bodied with spritzy mouthfeel. Perfectly balanced, a light sweetness, fresh acidity and a light bitterness. Superb.

I have some reservations in writing this review, I think I may have gotten a poorly stored bottle. The nose seemed more than a little yeasty and mild. no head to speak of and very little carbonation, the taste seemed to be pretty much what I expected (tart and sour with hints of bitterness) and, it had a lackluster finish. I’ll try this one again but nex time I’ll buy it at a different store. 9/8/07 update- I found a bottle at a different store and was happy that I did so, this one actually had a nice sharp nose, flavor and, finish like a gueze should; it was worth the time invested in finding the other bottle.

clear gold with a fastly dissolving head. has an acidic wet wood aroma. medium viscous body with soft bubbles. very sharp tart taste of bitter lemon peels, spice, and soggy earth. pungent and drinkable in only the way a lambic can be! a little above average gueuze, but great for lindemans. tastes like a real lambic, not the fruit soda they normally sell

375ml bottle (Pikkulintu, Helsinki, Lambic days 2007) Light gold, thin head. Fairly sharp aroma. Fits in with the oude geuze style. Again, a sharp geuze taste. Very pleasant, quite classy brew, far better than the sweet muck they make.

This beer pours with quite a big head, lacing is also very good... Lots of different aroma’s, citrus, funk, fruit... Taste is refreshing and twangy, lots of flavours lie in the depths of this brew... A Great Gueuze for sure.. but split the 750ml bottle with another person!
