| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 22, 2007 From a 750mL Bottle. Tasted side-by-side with Lindemans Gueuze. No comparison. Pours a crystal clear color of pale straw with a well sustaining head of fizzy brilliant white. Acidic nose with loads of fermented lemons and a light floral perfume. Rose petals and dry chardonnay. Light bodied, crisply carbonated mouthfeel. The acidity level is moderate, but the carbonation is perfect, leaving a pleasant sizzle on the tongue. The flavors start out a bit on the metallic side, with a strange artificial sugar flavor accompanying a nice, refreshing pinot grigio vinous-like quality. This fades on the backend of the palate, leaving notes of lemon and white grapes lingering on the tongue. Very bright and refreshing with a cleansing acidity; not overly complex, but expertly constructed and not weighed down by heavy woody notes. haukur (684), Reykjavik, Iceland

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 21, 2007 Bottle. Slightly hazy pale yellow. Pours an even low head. Yeasty and musty nose. Very tart to sour. Sharp and bitter. Unripe strawberries, lemons, grapefruit rind. Very clean finish. Lowest on the quaffability scale. WolfsBlood84 (103), Indianapolis, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 19, 2007 750 ml Bottle - Pours a pale, hazy yellow color. Aroma is sourness, tartiness, acidity, and slight citrus. Taste is same - medium-bodied, huge sourness and moderately dry, but still clean finish. My first big sample of Gueuze, not my last. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 17, 2007 Poured a hazy yellow. Smelled sour and tasted tart at first but was followed by a very distinct spice flavor. Cinnamon and clove were definitely present in the middle then it finished a sour lemon. First time I have ever encountered a spice flavor in a Gueuze, not bad. Tranquillity (1167), Espoo, Finland

Wow, my first Gueuze. Mostly sourness in the flavor. Aroma is kind of grassy and sour. Feels good going down. Pretty refreshing for a warm evening.
