| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 14, 2007 My first gueze. Sour apple and vinegar aroma. Also a smell of wet paint? Slightly vegetal aroma as well. Not terrible, still has the dominant vinegar sour flavor, which somewhat overpowers others. I think this is an acquired style, which I will need to sample more often in order to appreciate the subtle flavors besides the sour. My limited experience with sours makes most of these beers taste the same. I guess my palate just hasn’t adjusted. I’m still willing to give these more tries. Maybe my wife would like them as she normally likes things that taste sour. JK (2961), Richfield, Minnesota, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Feb 14, 2007 I liked this but it was not nearly as sour as I hoped. Sour aroma; no mistaking this as a lambic. Wheat in the flavor; some pine, horseblanket and other weird yeasty flavors that I can’t nail down. Considerable carbonation, and light orange color. joebrew (608), Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 12, 2007 Pours a hazy golden amber. Nice dusty sweet nose with hints of tart cherry. The flavor packs one hell of a punch for this brewery that produces a lot of sweet. This is the balancer for all those sweet lambics. Nice tart cherry feel with good carbonation, and a great creamy finish to the tongue drying acidity. jcwattsrugger (5563), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

Aroma is barn, yeasty, medium fruit. Taste is barn, yeasey, medium fruit, vinegar, some bitter at finish, nice. Nice effervescence. Occasional. hellomynameis (794), Mayer, Minnesota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 11, 2007 This one was a bit different for me...The taste and aroma were both sour (duh!), but there was somethgin else in there, and I just couldn’t nail it down. Maybe some funk? motelpogo (4395), Plzen, Czech Republic
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 11, 2007 gahl06, bottled. murky golden with some large bubbles. a salty, briney aroma that suggested olives and capers and a hint of muesli bars. surprisingly restrained flavour-wise, only hints of funk and some lemon sherbet sweetness. quite good Stine (1380), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 11, 2007 Golden creamy white in color. Aromas of softly hot white pepper and sour green apple give way to a more gently sour flavor than others of its type. Orange, honey, and a burst of lime. Surprisingly rich and full of complexity. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 17/20 | Feb 10, 2007 At the 2007 Big Beer, Belgians, & Barleywines Festival in Vail. Pours light yellow with no head. The aroma of an 8th Grader’s gym socks. Sure, it has a battery acid flavor, but the acidic level is not insane like many of this style. Actually, quite good. Woody, earthy oakiness builds up after you have saturated your sour taste receptors and start discerning other flavors in this.
