Tart aroma of early fruit. Immediate sour hit on the tongue resolving quickly and refreshingly into lemon, kumquat, cherries, the best parts of chardonnay, very refreshing and tart. Effervescence is slightly champagne-like! thirdeye11 (536), Texas, USA

Pours an opaque yellow with a nice big fluffy head and oily bubbles. Nose is sour cherries, some barnyard funk, and nice acidity that’s not vinegar-like but just right. Taste is really good too. Very sour but not vinegar, in a way reminds me of Flintstones chewable vitamins without the bitterness. Sour cherries are in the taste. The finish is still sour, makes my mouth water it’s so good, and some nice funky flavors are sticking around. Honestly one of the best finishes I’ve had in a beer and the carbonation is nice and champagne-like. Really a superb sour beer. dkachur (2373), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 14, 2009 Yellowish golden with a suprisingly long lasting white head. Aroma is brettanomyces and light lemon. Flavour is similar but a tad milder and leaves no bigger impression. Mouthfeel is a bit watery but adds to its drinkability. neepsntatties (330), Portland, Oregon, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 10, 2009 750ml. Pours a hazy amber with a small white head. Nose has some horse blanket, lemon zest, lime, grapefruit and wood notes. Not near as bracing as many gueze’s this is an entry level gueze while still true to the style. High acidity but not over the top. Moderately sour but with notes of wood and vanilla to balance. Some lemon and citrus carry out the balance. The best I’ve had from Lindemans by a wide margin and a very solid gueze in its own right.
