Aroma of sour barnyard lambic, maybe lighly skunky, but i’m sure that’s from being on the top shelf at Cyclone Liquor for a little too long. There is no evidence of skunk on my palate, however, as this proves to be a mild, albeit tasty gueuze.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 8, 2009 Hazy peach pour with a massive frothy head and lots of carbonation. Aroma holds straw, grass, barnyard, and horseblanket; not a rude funk, but present, and welcome on the nose. Flavor is quite nice, starting with a mellow nectar and then morphing into a really nice and fairly aggressive shot of barnyard to the tongue. Palate is pretty light, but it’s nice that it’s funky but drinkable. A good gueuze, and definitely the best offering from Lindeman’s that I’ve had so far. poisoneddwarf (190), Rathdrum, Idaho, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Dec 4, 2009 750 ml bottle. 2007 bottle. Smells of Sweet Tarts candy. Pours hazy yellow with a nice head which dissipates fairly quickly, nice lacing. Taste is extremely sour. I love all things sour, and this is delicious. Somewhat oily in texture. Lots of carbonation. Finishes sour, dry. Yummy. mspindler (317), Alta Loma, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 3, 2009 Bottle. Pours a hazy, pissy yellow with a white film. Aroma is skunky underripe fruits and a strong sourness. Flavor is intensely sour but clean with some vinegar. Palate is fizzy and light. A pretty average sour. The taste is very nice, with moderate tartness and delicious citrus fruitiness. The mouth feel is exceptional, with nice bubbly carbonation that tickles the tongue. This is for an 08 that I just had. I’ve had an 03 and a 94, and I remember both of those as having a stronger sourness. popery (177), San Francisco, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Nov 28, 2009 A nice, tart gueuze. While not quite as wonderful as some gueuze, this is still excellent beer. This is a real punch in the mouth gueuze that leaves a film of tartness on the teeth, like licking a lemon. In fact, it’s a bit like mixing with lemon juice with a good, dry champagne, which sounds appealing to me, anyway. There’s some dry, neutral oak in the finish and a tiny touch of horse blanket-brett flavor peeks out. Otherwise, it’s mostly lemon/grapefruit rind tart. While it’s not my favorite gueuze, it’s still quite good and comes in at a much lower price than the competition. If only Lindemans would stop sweetening their fruit lambics (or start importing the Kriek Cuvée René)... humulushound (132), British Columbia, Canada
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 25, 2009 Lovely golden-hued opaque gueuze with dissipating tan-tinged head. Aroma is sour fruits, white wine vinegar, light pepper and honey. Taste is cider-ish, yeasty with a very ascetic profile. Finish is sour, crisp, refreshing and everything a gueuze should be (albeit sweeter than some). carruthm (1140), Seattle, Washington, USA

Aroma is apples and white grapes. Flavor is sour, palate is lightly watery. AlabastorJones (765), San Francisco, California, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 20, 2009 Yellow body, no real head, aroma is tart sours and a hint at some funk, flavor is citric acid and a hint at some funk, some form of a malt body even shines through on some level, this is probably the perfect level of sour to be insanely sour yet completely drinkable. very enjoyable and probably the most accessable to a sour newb who has already tried the likes of the Duchesse/Monk’s Kettle etc... very sour though, make no mistake.
