Pours a clear, rather dark, copper body under a minimal fizzy white head that faded rather quickly. The nose is very sugary sweet with minimal to no funkiness and touches of wet hay and cork. Saccharine chemical sweetness on the first sip yields just what I expected: the travesty that is adulterated Gueuze. A little bit of grapefruit and citrus rinds, but lacking in anything resembling tartness or sourness. The mouthfeel is unnecessarily thick and syrupy in body, it clings to the teeth with it’s sugary evilness. Just another in the line of pseudo Gueuze shams. yngwie (4970), Kristiansand, Norway
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 24, 2008 Bottle. A deep golden beer with a minimal, white head. Mould, cellar and sourness in the aroma, as well as a touch of cork. Would like the aroma more pronounced. Well, not the cork that is. Sour-sweetish flavor with cellar and cork. Medium, astringent mouthfeel. A nice beer, but far from the best gueuzes. (080118) popephred (193), Plainfield, Illinois, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Feb 24, 2008 Poured from a very chilled bottle into a pint glass. Pour produced a cloudy golden-brown body (with sediment) with a small white head which fully diminished. Strong lemon odors dominate the aroma, with some skunkiness. Sour and sweet, this lambic has a light carbonation and is light bodied. The lemon flavor is quite dominant and pleasantly refreshing, with minimal aftertaste. AmEricanbrew (1846), Washington DC, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 19, 2008 Clear amber color with a thin but persistent head. Nice smell of tart wheat, oak, and horse blanket mustiness. Medium body and smooth. Good, clean sweet tart flavors of apples, citrus fruits is simple but effective. A working mans Gueuze. 367 Beer2000 (1811), Kristiansand, Norway
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 19, 2008 375 ml bottle. Slightly hazy golden body with a medium white head. Sourish aroma with hints of an old wine cork. Flavor is moderat sour, some cellar notes, fruity. Refreshing and not particular sour in geuze term. Not bad anyway. KAF (441), Coralville, Iowa, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 10, 2008 Golden orange pour with carbonation and a small white thin head. Aroma of sweet apricot and dried apples. Taste is actually quite boring. Stale bread and a bubbly body. An odd bitter dry finish. UselessGdTaste (363), Long Beach, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 8, 2008 Very disappointing. A very slight sour smell and an overly sweet flavour. Little to no complexity. Just a sweet beer with a touch of sour. However, it does make sense now why their fruit versions are so sweet. CaptBier (302), Birmingham, Alabama, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 29, 2008 Bottle. Hazy dull amber with small head but moderate lacing. Sweet aroma with a little bit if dust. The taste is light and sweet with hints of sour. I pleasant change from the overly sweet fruit lambics.
