Sweet aroma like a faro but the sourness and barnyard is there. Light, sour flavor and more sweetness. I can’t believe this is not a faro. Finish stays minimally sour. Nice carbonation. Love this yeastbitter "carboflavor", which is also signifible in the aroma. More sweet that Cantillon and therefore easier swallowable for the masses including me. Flavor of aged fruits such as lemon and grapefruits. Hardly recognizeable in the end where it all turns to vinegar and heavy metal, but again the sweetness makes this an easier gueuze than the hardcores from Cantillon and drie Font.... Pours with a pretty good sized head, leaving some nice lacing. Tart, funky, musky citrus aroma. Flavors are citrusy and sweet up front, with some nice tart fruit flavors. Slightly earthy, woody finish. Very drinkable, overall. Capa (977), Yokosuka, Japan

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 24, 2007 12 oz bottle. Poured a sparkly, clear appley-golden with a rather tall cap of white head, nice lacing, and active carbonation. Nose picked up wet leather, heavy vinegar, and lemon sourness... undercurrent of dry, dusty notes. Flavor began sharp and acidic on the tip of the tongue with dusty lemon notes... younger leather and oak notes follow. Enough acidity to keep it interesting, with a grainy and dry feel on the back-end... flavor kind of petered out at the finish. Refreshing. Enjoyed this one.. definitely a middle-of-the-road gueuze. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Feb 24, 2007 Pours a lighter amber color with a white head. Aroma is sour and musty with some floral aromas. Flavor starts off with the sourness that gives way to the floral taste and a tartness with oak to finish. A pretty good brew. joebrew (608), Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 17/20 | Feb 19, 2007 Pours a bourbon like golden brown, with a medium frothy white head. Kinda light unoffensive nose with hints of lemon peel, leather, tart grapefruit-like citrus and a slight grassiness. The flavor is very fleeting, but gives a nice light tart flavor that is very sugary. It kind of tastes like a sour patch kid, it’s trying to be sour, but Girarden it is not. A nice unoffensive brew, like many lindemans beers are.
