Aroma was sour fruit with some yeast and grassy notes. Flavor was tart apple, it was more like a hard cider. bfeldmann (1042), Wilmington, Delaware, USA

Flavor WAY off for this style, no barnyard horseblankets no tart. Just a bad beer within style. Was refreshing. " maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Apr 23, 2006 First timer with a Gueuze...Darker clear gold pour with little to no head. Pretty sugary smell, I likened the aroma best to a belgian style saizon really. Quite apple-other fruit juice tastes with a distinct acidic bite to the tartness. Really pretty good and drinkable. Tastes like no other beer. Somewhat weak in the ABV content sadly, which lended to the easy drinkability. gnoff (3573), Göteborg, Sweden
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 13, 2006 Samle at a beer tasting at "Pannrummet" in Gothenburg, Sweden. Dark amber color. Very sour scent. Fruity and sour taste. A nice example of the gueuze type and recommended (by me at least) as an aperitif. IndianaRed (1559), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 11, 2006 Bottle Fairly clear deep amber with a thin but persistant white head. Thin but sticky lacing. Tart but not overly dry aroma. Expected musty, dusty notes but also plenty of flavor that is lacking in other Gueuzes Ive had. Flavor is similar, lots of tasty fruit flavors, deep acidic tart backing The tartness does not overpower and very tasty over all. Thanks to Buck Dich for sharing this one. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Apr 11, 2006 Bottle: Amber clear color, nice puffy head, retentive lacing. The nose is lightly tart with notes of sage, clay, lemongrass, plenty of horsy barny notes. The flavor is sweet for a gueuze with a pleasant fructose mouthfeel along with the tart note. One of the few gueuzes that really treats my nose without killing my jaw. I love the tartness, but it’s good to have something different and a bit more balanced. Incredibly tasty still though. jujubeast6000 (787), Houston, Texas, USA
