Pours a clear amber-orange with a small fizzy head that quickly fates to a fine white ring around the rim of the glass. The initial aroma is vinegar, fresh-cut green apples, and a hint of oak and a hint of mustiness, like walking through the cellar of an old European winery. The flavor hits with an unexpectedly sweet lemon-candy rush which turns to the tartness of a splash of lemon and grapefruit juices in seltzer. Mouthfeel is crisp and sparkling and refreshing.
For me, the finish is the least satisfying aspect of the brew; in addition to the tannic dryness, it leaves a sweet-sour off taste in the mouth instead of providing the desired dry finish. leaparsons (4755), Leicester, Leicestershire, England

Aromas are initially sweet, sugar, followed by yeast, apple, pear and more candy sweetness, dry and slightly champagne like. Flavours are sweet and sour, fruity with champagne dryness. Nice yeast. Slighty woody towards the finish. A nice refreshing Gueuze. wardw123 (1), USA does not count | 4.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Dec 9, 2005 Winey (because of the oak casking), sour, fruity, and absolutely delicious! My favorite beer to date. Made with wild yeast strain in Belguim. Very different and almost unlike beer, but delicious. edden (927), cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA

The appearance is orange amber with a little bit of cloudiness. The flavor is sour and tart along with a very vinous like quality. It has some of the elements of wine as well as cider. It is not very sweet. The palate is average and the aftertaste is dry. Pretty good I guess. Thaichile (599), 10aFly, New Jersey, USA

Long light bitter finish. I guess this is an easy going gueuze for a gueuze-beginner like me. JoshuaB (428), Detroit, Michigan, USA
