Bottle. 4% OK sour aroma. Dark golden colour, white head. The acidity is OK, but the flavour is way too sweet. A little mold, which suits the beer fine.

Pours with an orange-gold body topped by a medium thick head with lots of lacing. The aroma is sour and tart with a slight barnyard note and an underlying metallic note, as well as a light lemony note. The flavor is sweet and fruity with a slight tartness and a touch of metal. Light bodied, dry and crisp.

Amber/orange, hazy from yeast. Nice white head. Dry fruity aroma with some yeast. Nice fruity flavor, grapes, citrus, grapefruit, fresh sour notes with a mild fruity finish. Very refreshing and with nice lacing.

Very specific taste. Wonderfull aroma when you open the bottle. It’s a real pleasure to drink the whole bottle (75cl). Head is not long-lasting, but if this is the only negative point....

Musty, minty, sweet and tart, lightly corked, woody citrus, apple aroma. Clear caramel-golden body is topped with a fizzy white head that recedes to lasting fine bubbled cover. Sweet and tart apple flavours are strong along with musty, leafy and woody citrus notes. Somewhat puckering finish before a lasting sweetness in the aftertaste. Light body with moderate carbonation. Flute. Just above fridge temp. Bottle (Main Street Party Store, Jul-05).

Corky, musty, green melon rind, cider vinegar aroma. Tea brown, coating beady head. Tart, astringent like green pecans, cidery, a little fig, a little honey. Medium mouthfeel, a tangy spiked finish on the lips.

Bottle, Le Select Bistro. At least a 4 year old bottle from my understanding. Dark orange pour, lots of bubbles. Small white head. Stale, sour, musty aroma - what you would expect from this style. Tart sour taste - unsweetened, which is a refreshing change from recent imports. Medium to full bodied, this had a lot of malt backing for the style. As it warmed, there was a very noticeable fruitiness coming out of it. At the end, a tremendous amount of grapefruit. A very tart, full-bodied, complex gueze that I really enjoyed.

Smelled this from across the bar as my bar tender popped it open...and I was a little disheartened. Not used to smelling my drink from four feet away. I’m giving these repeated attempts but still not "acquiring" the taste. Seems like sickly sweet apples and maybe some citrus fruit. All with that basic musty sourness under it all.
