| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 13/20 | Jul 28, 2005 Pours amber with a large, creamy white head. Some effervescence and a lot of lacing. Artificial, candy-like sweetness overpowers a lighter sour aroma. Very little of the funkiness that should be in a Gueuze. Sour apples coated in sugar. Some barnyardy notes. Very tart. Not nearly as good as the Cuvee Rene. Not a horrible beer, but too expensive and but a shadow of its bigger brother.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 19, 2005 Sampled at the hop devil. Pours a med. cloudy straw color with a champagne-like head. Aroma is of chardonnay grapes, mild horse blanket, and a bit of nuttiness. The flavor is only mildly acidic, not really true to style, with a lot of sweet grapes and a lingering nuttiness. The palate is light and the finish is nowhere near as dry as I’m used to. This needs a lot more time to develop. It would be a good place to start for someone that’ not familiar with gueuze. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 18, 2005 Bottle, from Julio’s. Good nose, Fruity. Pear.cherry, apple, honey. Good head that reduced to a ring, brownish orange color, some sediment that sort of hangs Tart flavor, like the aromas, with the cherry leading the way. Thin body, watery mouthfeel, tart sweet finish. Interesting, first gueuze so I don’t have much to put it up against, Grew on me as I drank it. Tartness might be a turn off for some. puzzl (2647), New York, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 9, 2005 My first lambic, which means, of course, my first gueuze. Effervescent aroma with some of more acidic fruits present. Taste was cidery, not much sourness at all, but certainly pleasant and drinkable. Had to deduct a point because $5 for a bottle of this is waaaay too much. hershiser2 (914), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 21, 2005 Brownish with a small bubbly head. Lotsa fizz throughout. Smells of pears and apples. Flavor is tart pear or apple. Interesting, but not outstanding. Padron4KM (403), Chandler, Arizona, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 19, 2005 335 ml bottle, sampled alone & with three kinds of cheeses. Asiago, Jarlsberg, and a prosciutto wrapped mozzerella.
Pours out hazy amber apple juice color, lively carbonation, head dissapates quickly.
Aroma is of apples, champange, and dirty socks.
Flavor is sweet and sour, apple cider, light background of lemons, and some sugar.
Asiago does not go well, overpowers the subtle flavors of the beer. The other two work, help cut the sourness a bit. porterdude (170), Bellingham, Washington, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 13, 2005 Slightly mirky orangeish pour, with a very active, yet quickly disappearing head. Tastes like all the other Lindeman’s Lambic’s but without the fruit flavors. Tart, yet very "sugary" at the same time. A rather approachable Lambic for those that have never had one.
